From the 1st September 2020 there will be new legislation supported by powerful new risk rating tools that will help identify the least trustworthy industry players.
Tenders will close next week for providers who are able to deliver regulated multi-party risk rating (MPRRT) services. This is a significant change of the game for residential consumers in NSW. The MPRRTs will be market led. They will not be owned or supported by the regulator. Our role has been to identify a market information weakness, to work with potential service providers by creating a NSW start-up sandpit, enable proof of concept and to facilitate a minimum viable product uptake. MPRRTs will provide the same insights into what are known as special purpose project vehicles (SPVs). SPV's are a legitimate project development vehicle in the right hands. MPRRTs will separate the right hands from the most risky players.
